James is helping after the hurricane

James has been called to active duty to help after the hurricane. He will be gone at least 21 days. I don’t yet have any details about his mission. There is no phone service in that area at this time, so he is not sure when or if he will be able to call. I will update this page if I get more information. 09/16/05	He will be coming home soon!! He is scheduled to arrive at the armory Sunday afternoon/evening (the 18th). He will be on active duty there through Friday (the 23rd).
09/14/05	James and his unit have been providing security for the Red Cross distribution center and for the welfare and food stamps distribution. They have also been riding along with law enforcement. He says they are being treated very well, and everyone has been happy they are there.
09/04/05	He called today and said he will be moving tomorrow. He will be somewhere north of New Orleans doing security.
09/02/05	He was able to call and tell me he arrived safely! He can’t promise more phone calls, but I’m hopeful.
